State Project Directorate (SPD) RUSA
RUSA, a centrally Sponsored Scheme(CSS), aims at providing strategic funding to eligible state higer educational institutions. The Scheme is implemented through Ministry of Education with matching contribution from the State Govts./UTs.The funding is in the ratio of 60:40 for general category States, 90:10 for special category states and 100% for Union territories. Funding to states is made on the basis of the critical appraisal of States Higher Education Plans and is a norm based and outcomes dependent. State Project Directorate is Nodal Agency of State/UT which facilitate fund flow and monitor projects funded through RUSA.
